Interlibrary Services: Loans & Document Delivery

If the materials you need are unavailable at TNUA Library, you can borrow books or request photocopies from other institutions through Reciprocal Borrowing Cards or the NDDS (Nationwide Document Delivery Service).

  Reciprocal Borrowing Cards

  • Need the book within 1–2 days.
  • Wish to borrow multiple items.
  • Want to preview the book before committing.
  • Looking for a cost-free option.

  NDDS (Nationwide Document Delivery Service)

  • Flexible with wait times (typically 3–7 days).
  • Unable to visit partner libraries in person.
  • Prefer not to travel between TNUA and other libraries for pickup/return.
  • Only need photocopies of specific pages or articles.
  • All Reciprocal Borrowing Cards are currently checked out.
  • The holding library is not a TNUA partner institution.

Union Catalogs: Locate Items Nationwide

Before using interlibrary services, we recommend searching a Union Catalog. These catalogs integrate collections from various libraries across Taiwan, helping you quickly identify which library holds the materials you need.

  • MetaCat+(open a new window): An integrated system covering over 70 library catalogs, primarily from domestic universities and colleges. It provides direct links to the catalog records of the holding libraries.

  • NBInet(open a new window): This platform allows you to search the collections of over 80 public and academic libraries simultaneously. To confirm the circulation status (whether a book is available for loan or currently checked out), you must link back to the catalog of the holding library. Please note that bibliographic records are updated periodically and are not provided in real-time.

  • STPI Union List of Serials(open a new window): Search for journal collections in libraries nationwide, focusing primarily on print titles. Please note that update frequencies for specific issue information vary, as they are managed independently by the holding institutions.
